‘Bitter Sweet’ Director Amy b Tiong explores how food shapes our identity - (premiere: Bustle)
Director Amy B Tiong shares her very personal journey with food in a new short that premiered on Bustle today. According to Amy, “My parents moved to America, opened a Chinese fast-food restaurant, and had me. They grew up poor, so being able to provide for me and my sisters in whatever way was a blessing. This included the food on our table. Over the years, my relationship with food has moved from innocent to toxic to healing. This is part of that story."
The soundtrack supporting this story was produced by Andy Bauer, featuring violinist Christopher Brett Williams.
